Storm Welch (they/them) is a printmaker, "Crankie" maker, and mural painter from Richmond, Virginia. While at Sable, Storm has been working on a large woodblock print about relational care amongst forrest defenders and other movements in the U.S. and abroad.

They have been reflecting on the need for gentleness amidst a political and changing environmental climate that constantly demands urgent activism of our friends, lovers, allies, and teachers.

Storm is a triplet who loves to contra dance, play the banjo, and has aspirations of joining a roller derby team one day.
