Maia Gilmour (they/she) is a multi media maker from Vermont traversing the realms of music, theater, visual art, writing and puppetry. Their artistic practice plays with the cultivation of belief (in self, in others, in magic).

While at Sable, they worked with ancestral mythology from their Finnish lineage to create the beginning motif of a crankie/puppet show about Louhi, the Finnish witch of the underworld.

Maia was the type of kid who loved when people gathered together for the sake of creativity + music, and she still does.
