Jasmine Roth
Jasmine Roth (she/they) is currently based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on the ancestral lands of the Shawnee, Lenape, Osage and Hodinöhšönih people. She is currently a John Wells Fellow at Carnegie Mellon University as an MFA Directing candidate.
Jasmine is a director and choreographer who uses the stage to investigate and witness power, agency, healing, and metamorphosis. Their work with both teen and professional ensembles centers the body as a holder of history and a maker of incantations.
At Sable, Jasmine worked on their first full length play as a solo playwright entitled Painting Lessons. The play is a grief-reckoning-garden-fantasy about losing a parent and finding yourself.
Jasmine also enjoys making her own nut milk and caring for her seven plants and one cat.
