with an excerpt of Black on Earth: a thought-provoking Interdisciplinary performance that explores the stories & experiences of Black farmers.

Brother(hood) Dance! brings an excerpt of their innovative dance piece Black on Earth to Sable's Food & Art Friday. Black on Earth is a thought-provoking Interdisciplinary performance that seamlessly integrates dance, agriculture, and technology to explore the stories of and experiences of Black farmers. This sharing will be a duet iteration of Black on Earth.

MEET Brother(hood) Dance!

Brother(hood) Dance! are an interdisciplinary duo that seeks to inform its audiences on the socio-political and environmental injustices from a global perspective, bringing clarity to the same-gender-loving African-American experience in the 21st century. Brother(hood) Dance! was formed in April 2014 as a duo that researches, creates, and performs dances of freedom by Orlando Zane Hunter, Jr. and Ricarrdo Valentine. They are a 2020 Bessies Honoree of the NY Dance and Performance Awards, The Bessies for Afro/Solo/Man, and 2016 Sable Resident Artist Alumni!
