Anastasia Rockafella is a visual artist from Stamford, CT. She just graduated with a fine art degree from Syracuse University. Inspiration for her thesis came by inviting the geometrical growth patterns of nature onto the two-dimensional world of the canvas. Special attention was focused on exploring depth through color palate. While at Sable, Ana is continuing to explore geometric harmony, but this time on circular panels. Anastasia considers the people of Sable to be storytellers. These stories shared through movement, music, and words have inspired her to keep a journal in which entries are typed over daily Zen paintings.
